Unlike the medical corporations of the other states, the mandate of BMSICL is not just limited to the procurement & supply of drugs & equipment, but it also includes development of health services infrastructure across the state thereby ensuring the presence of a dedicated health care service provider in the state. Both Procurement and Infrastructure development are equally important for the holistic development of an efficient healthcare system in the state.

In accordance to our mission statement, to ensure the reach of quality & affordable healthcare services in every nook and corner, it is all the more important to ensure the presence of health care institutions across the state. BMSICL is thus responsible for the development of the entire hierarchy of health institutions in the state i.e. Medical Colleges & hospitals, CHCs, PHCs, ANM & GNM Schools, DPM offices, Doctor-Nurse Quarters, District Warehouses etc.
